        Many of the non indigenous plants will survive

        Oak trees are very fire resistant and many of those in    the main street will survive

        Plants such as rhododendrons and camellias will likely        regenerate after a hard pruning. Bend back the wood to the point where it becomes flexible (live wood) and prune at this point

        Tree ferns and most eucalypts are already regenerating
