- Community dog walk for the four legged to raise funds for bushfire affected animals, 9th May in Whittlesea
- RSPCA service for animals lost in the fires, Rochford Winery. 26th April
- Rob Gordan, clinical psychologist who has been helping communities recover from disasters for over 20 years- Marysville, now 9 May, 10.30 am.

- Up to 2000 rural landowners affected by the 2009 bushfires may be eligible to receive a one-off payment of $5,000 from the Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund- see the Murrindindi newsletter for details.
