COMMEMORATIVE EVENT – FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF BLACK SATURDAY

A community service will be held in Gallipoli Park on Sunday, 7 February 2010 at 9.30am. It will consist of a non denominational service followed by refreshments. After the service, people will be welcome to stay and reflect on Black Saturday.
The Marysville and Triangle Community Recovery Committee has consulted widely about the wishes of our local community about how we collectively remember and commemorate the first anniversary of Black Saturday. After considerable feedback, an event that focuses on the local community in a low key manner, with great respect to all involved in Black Saturday, has been arranged.
