State and federal funding and bushfire recovery programs along with the dedicated staff of Lake Mountain will ensure the resort...."Melbourne's closest alpine resort" will be open and ready for visitors this winter.
The main visitor centre which houses the ski school, ski and snow play hire, Heights bistro and the resort administration was untouched by the fires and is now open. Buildings destroyed by the fires will be replaced with temporary structures for this year and will be rebuilt....and improved...as part of the bushfire recovery process as soon as practically possible.
